What Is The Lambs Book Of Life, Is Your Name Written There?
This message about The Lambs Book of Life helps us to understand when our name was written there, and answers the question of whether our name can be struck off the register.

What is the lamb's book of life? Is your name written there? That's our message. The text is taken from Revelation 20: 11-14.
When it comes to us doing the work of the Lord, Jesus Christ cautions us that, the only thing that we are to rejoice and celebrate over is that our names are written down in the Lambs Book of life! And this is a big deal, a huge deal, and it is the only thing that really matters at the end of the day! Is Your Name written there?
The Lord told His disciples that the fact that their names are written in this Book should be the most important thing for them, and not bragging that demons were subject to them! There are many people in the church today celebrating and taking pride in a lot of useless stuff! And Jesus Christ was warning all of us against being swallowed up by the sin of pride, which has caused many to fall. He had sent seventy of His disciples out, two by two, that they may carry the gospel to the cities that He would be visiting. He gave them specific instructions about how to conduct themselves when they entered people's homes.
Father, we thank You for this message. Send it out under the anointing of Your Holy Spirit. We pray for every listener to this message, Father, that if any do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that they would fast forward to the end and commit their way unto the Lord. We thank You and praise You for Your word. We thank You for the anointing upon the hearer, the listener to this message, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, that they will never be the same.
He said in going out, that they should be like gentle lambs going among wolves, and these wolves would perhaps be the demons that would try to oppose them. This means that they were to go out with a sense of humility, and not with attitudes of arrogance, acting as if they possessed something that belonged to themselves. Secondly, the Lord Jesus said that they should carry neither money, nor provision, and not even extra sandals, and thirdly, they should not make any big to do about their mission. The fourth point was that the first thing that they should do on entering a home is to offer peace to the house. Number five, continue living at the same house eating and drinking whatever they gave them, instead of moving from one house to another. And then the sixth point, whichever house they were not accepted, they were to knock the dust from that home from off their feet when they got out into the street. Apparently, the Disciples and the Apostles had great successes, and cast out many demons, and they seemed surprised that these devils were subject to them, because of the great power that they wielded in the name of Jesus Christ. And they returned to Him rejoicing over this! However, He cautioned them against excessive pride! He told them that He saw prideful satan fall from heaven so quickly, that it was like a flash of lightning, he fell because of the sin of pride, according to Luke 10:18!
Here's another thing we are cautioned about. In our travels to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, our ministry team have discovered that many are unaware of the Lambs Book of Life, and of its significance for every believer in Christ.
One reason why many who say Lord, Lord, will never enter His Kingdom may just be, because their names will have been struck off the register of this book, because of foolish pride! Too often we find that people of God are not vigilant, and the enemy deceives us into thinking that all is well when in fact it is not well with our soul at all. And the more we study God’s Word, the more we realize how important it is to know the letter of His Word, and to be obedient to the letter of God's Word! For He says obedience is more important than our works! Than our tithe and offering. Than attending Church and any other thing that we do for the Lord. At what point in our walk with Christ will our names be written down in this Lambs Book of Life? Will it be written there at the time of our repentance? Or will the Father observe our walk In Christ first in order to see how faithful we are to His commands, and then decide to write our name in that eternal Book? Some will be surprised at the answer! It is found in Revelation 13:8, and confirmed in Revelation 17:8. Both scriptures confirm that our names were written there from the time the world was established! Long before we were born! And this is incredible! Consider this. If you and I are still on earth in the day of the Antichrist, is there a chance that we might be persuaded to worship him? The answer to this is also found in Revelation 13:8. Where the text says, “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” In other words, all whose names were not written in this Book before the foundation of the world, will worship the beast, and will take his mark!
Let us therefore be mindful of this reference to the foundation of the world, which is the beginning of time. At the very outset, the Father knew that we would answer His call, and be faithful to Him! And long before we were born or even thought of, He wrote our names in this holy Book, and if we continue in our faithful walk with Him, He will never blot our names out of His holy Book.
Those who will be deceived by this Antichrist, and his partner, the false prophet, will fall under the spell of their great-power. You see they will do many signs and wonders. Great wonders in fact. And even cause fire to come down from heaven onto the earth right before the eyes of men. By these miracles, they will be able to deceive all whose names have not been written in this Book of Life, causing them to worship his image also.
The Israelites were toId about God's Book shortly after their departure from Egypt, according to Exodus 32:33, and they were also warned, that their names could be removed from that holy Book. The Lord told Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My Book.” This may the first reference to the Lamb's Book of Life although some disagree, and clearly, if your name is written there, it can still be removed, because of sinfulness!
There are many clear references to the Lambs Book of Life throughout the Holy Scriptures. This Book will only be opened at the judgment. Some call it, the Book of remembrance, others refer to it as the Book of the living. In Psalm 69:28, when he cried out to the Lord to save him from his enemies, David said, “Let them be blotted out of the Book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” In addition, the apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians, asking them to help Clement and his other helpers in the ministry, whose names he said were already in the Lambs Book of Life.
Then Daniel, in writing about a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, gives us the assurance that everyone whose name is written in that book will be delivered from the catastrophic disasters of those days of the tribulation, glory to God. He said many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awaken, and some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. He said those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the sky, Daniel 12:1-3.
So what is this book of life, when will it be revealed, and who can expect their name to be written there at the end of the age? Well the Word of God tells us that God keeps a record of our behavior whether good or bad, even the secret thoughts and intentions of our heart. In Psalm, 56:8 the writer said, “You have taken account of my wanderings, put my tears in your bottle, are they not in your book?”
And then according to revelation 20, it will be revealed at what some refer to as, ‘The great white throne judgment.’ Beginning at verse 11 John said: “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and Books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the Books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged each one according to his works. Then death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire, verses 11-15. So the dead will be gathered for judgement from every place, whether in the sea, or on the land, and those whose names are written in the Books will be judged according to their works. And anyone whose name is not written in the Book of life at that time will be cast into the lake of fire! There's another reference in Revelation, 3:5 which says, “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.” The implication here is that some of us whose names are written in this Book of Life will not conquer, will not prevail, and unfortunately, whoever does not, his name will be removed from the Lambs Book of Life, according to this scripture! Do not believe anyone who tell you that going to heaven is a slam dunk! My friend, we must overcome all evil, and root it out of our lives! And we must overcome every challenge but thank God that we are up to the mark.
Some have abused this scripture by quoting only the part of it that says, “I will not blot his name from the Book of Life.” And they say that our name can never be blotted from this Book. And this is so wrong, because they have used this to mislead children of God! They have used it to prop up the false, ‘once saved always saved’ gospel! Clearly, the Lord is saying only if we overcome, will He never blot our names from the Book of Life! And therefore friend we must overcome, we must prevail, we are required to endure to hardness as good soldiers, even unto the end.
Believers in Christ must be ever vigilant, constantly aware that there is some overcoming to be done, before we can reach the golden strand! We will all have to go through something! Whether it be during our day-to-day life, or whether it will be at the very end of our lives? Because, the only way our names will be written in that holy Book of Life at the end, is if we overcome everything that is thrown at us in this life. And we are up to the task, because the Word of God says we are more than conquerors, we are more than overcomers! In fact in each of the 7 letters written to the 7 Churches of Revelation, the Lamb of God makes specific promises to those who overcome! My friend, the rewards of heaven are only for overcomers!
Seven glorious promises are made to those of the seven churches of Revelation, which is the perfect Church. Here is a list of the seven promises of God to all who overcome, enduring to the end. The first letter says he that overcomes, Christ Jesus will give him to eat from the tree of life, which is in the middle of the paradise of God. In the second letter it says he that overcomes will not be hurt by the second death. The third letter says that he that overcomes, the Lord will give to him food to eat from the hidden manna, and He will give him a white stone and, in that stone, a new name will be written, which no one knows except the one who receives it. In the fourth letter it says he that overcomes, Christ will give that individual power over the nation’s to rule them with a rod of iron. And He will give him the morning star. Letter number five says he that overcomes will also be clothed in white garments and his name will not be blotted out of the Book of Life. His name will be confessed before the Father and His angels. In letter number six we are told the overcomer will be made a pillar in the temple of God, and he shall go out no more. And the Lord will write on him, the name of His God and the name of the city of His God, the new Jerusalem. And will write on him His new name. And finally in the seventh letter. The overcomer is promised that he will be granted the privilege to sit with Christ on His throne. Even as Christ overcame, and sat down with His Father on His throne. These are the glorious promises of God, to all who overcome, and we know that our God cannot lie.

Welcome friend to the body of believers in Christ. So many of us here are waiting for the return of the Good Master. In the meantime, we encourage you to become water baptized as quickly as possible. Let your pastor know that you want to be baptized like Jesus Christ was. Begin reading the word of God every day. Begin in the book of John and then go to Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Reading audibly as often as possible because faith comes by hearing the word of God. Pray daily. Attend at your local church. And one glad morning the Savior will come and receive us all unto Himself and we shall forever be with the Lord. God bless and keep you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
