Unlocking the potential of Christ's wounded warriors.

This is a special message for anyone who's gone through abuse of any kind as a child or even as an adult. And the message is for all of us because we've all come into this world as damaged goods. We are all born in sin and shaped in iniquity, scripture tells us. And we all require an override which is a major adjustment. The anointing of Christ is upon this message to break the chains of bondage and set you completely free. I assure you.

So here's the situation. You're in a store. The cashier shouts out the word override. In a short while, a lady dressed in a supervisor's uniform comes from the back and does something to the register using a special key and a special code perhaps. And this enables the cashier to complete the customer's transaction successfully. And what has happened here is that the cashier has a limited functional capacity that makes her incapable of performing certain jobs that may at times be required for serving special customers or for extraordinary circumstances. But the supervisor is fully empowered to perform every kind of transaction on the register. If the store owners dare to unlock the cashier's full potential so that she can perform all the functions on that computerized register, the service would be much quicker and the lines would move faster. However, we also know that these controls are necessary for the protection of the business and the customer against the rogue employee and the rogue customer.

Father, we give You thanks and praise for this glorious new day for Your wounded warrior. Cause them to know that this marks a new beginning for them and this is the first day of the rest of their glorious life in Christ Jesus. Amen.

We are all born with limited capacities because of our sin nature. Our brain has been misshapen so to speak as we enter the world in a somewhat similar manner. We all need an override in order to be fully functional in the manner that God has ordained for us. None of us can function at our full potential in this life without this override because we were born with a sin nature fostered upon us by the sin of our fore-parents.

Scripture tells us in Psalm 51 and 5, "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity and in sin my mother conceived me." And therefore, we are all a part of this handicapped group called human beings. Some of us just happen to be a bit more handicapped than others. But the good news is that because of Jesus Christ, we all have the same hope, the same ultimate potential and awesome possibilities exist for all of us. No matter how severe our handicaps may be, no matter how severely we have been abused, psychologists have also discovered that many of us have additional limitations imposed upon us by these wounds of other afflictions. For instance, abuse further shapes the human brain in a peculiar way that is not intended by God. But the good news is that there's help available that will remodify our brain matter so that we can reach our full potential. Believe it or not, this reshaping is possible simply by a study of God's Word four times a week. Studies by theologians who study the brain have uncovered that brain tissue and brain cells are dramatically changed simply by studying the Word of God four times a week. They've discovered that by study of the Holy Bible four times a week. The frontal area of the brain responsible for focus, for rational thinking and decision making is rewired. This is nothing short of amazing and miraculous intended by God.

In addition, they have also discovered that memory is enhanced through scripture memorization and there are other good things that happen as well. For instance, loneliness is significantly reduced. Anger issues subside then disappear altogether. And here is an extra bonus. You will no longer feel that your life is stagnant and going nowhere. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God. This re-wiring of the brain by studying God's Word is confirmed by the holy scriptures. We are also warned against going with the flow of the world system which causes our brain to be even more miss-shapened.

Instead, we are encouraged to seek to have our mind and brain matter renewed daily. In Romans 12, we are told, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." When we begin walking in Christ's friend, Jesus begins doing surgery on our brain matter to reshape our thinking process in His own way. This causes us to have what the Word of God calls hope as a new day dawns for us. For some, this can be a dramatic instant change, but usually it is a more gradual process as our brain matter is reshaped by the Word of God. Let's talk about some of these painful experiences that many in the world have gone through. And these are experiences endured by many as children, as young adults, and even in our mature adulthood. Topping the chart is probably molestation as a child and rape even in adulthood. Then there's rejection and abandonment. There's physical and emotional abuse, sickness and disease, birth defects, accidents, and so on.

Persons who've gone through one or more of these and similar experiences very often find themselves severely hampered in living the victorious life that God has called them to live. But no matter what your affliction may have been, no matter what your issue, there's a path to a life of joy and fruitfulness for you, you must believe this and toss aside the lies Satan has been feeding you for all these years. It matters not at what stage of life the attack was waged upon you. It matters not what nationality you are, what sex you happen to be, how old you are, whether you are white or black, tall or short, intelligent or not so smart. Neither does it matter what sinful things you have done in this life. The same generous hand of hope of the Lord God through Jesus Christ is extended equally and unwaveringly to all of us to bring us into full and complete recovery.

This offer of love is without reserve and without hesitation to each of us. It is an offer of total unconditional acceptance and full restoration to a healthy state of being mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and sometimes physically. For God is no respecter of persons. What about the fact that some of us have been hampered or attacked more severely and more viciously than others? Is that fair? You may ask. To this I say that the greater the pain and the hurts inflicted upon you, the greater will be your love for God when you experience the enormous compassion that He has for you and the greater His plan for your life.

You see, Christ was without sin and yet He was abused more severely than you and I were. He did not deserve it because He was without sin. But He signed up for it on your behalf and for your good. He was wounded, bruised, beaten, scourged at least three times so that you and I can have an abundant life. It is right before you. Reach out and grab a hold of it in faith. He will not disappoint you. But you must turn from sin that will further damage your brain and hamper you even more.

Yes, we are all in need of an override. The prince of this world has hindered all of us, thereby limiting our capacity to live victoriously in this world. We are all from birth prevented from walking in the true reality of the conquering spirit given to us by Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. From the time of our painful cry when we entered this world, Satan began working to diminish our capacities, handicapping us physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and in some cases crippling us entirely. It is also important for us to know and embrace the Word of God that says no weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is from Me says the Lord.

This is a sneak peak at your deliverance. God will not leave you at the mercy of those who wish to destroy you. He will set you on a rock above them. The enemy has an entire treasure trove of harmful weapons and devices that he uses to inflict pain or to afflict us with. His vicious agenda is to steal, kill, and destroy. So why do you walk with him? Why do you keep company with him? doing his bidding when he's trying to destroy you. His weapons inflict painful sores upon us and may even kill us if we survive the attack. We face the danger of ending up living a life in which he's able to manipulate us and draw us into a life of sin and defeat. Invariably, these wounds can make the children of God incapable of answering the Father's call. It may cause them to ignore the call completely or not even hear it as we set off on a life of sinful pleasures. Many are thus rendered totally useless to the kingdom of God as they spiral downward into destruction and certain eternal spiritual death.

Therefore, many today are in need of an override in order to unlock their God-given potential. in order to get this monkey off their back, so to speak. Enter the greatest hero that ever lived, Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, who has the power to give us an override. He's able to cancel our sin nature and give us a sinless one. Here is the override in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation or a new creature. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. How are we made new when we come to Christ? Well, our soul is regenerated and this means new life is breathed into us by the Holy Spirit. Our brain matter is renewed spiritually first. Then as we study to make our ways pleasing to God, physical restructuring of our brain matter begins. As the Word of God reshapes our thinking, our thoughts and daily focus are directed away from our painful hurts and wounds of the past. We begin being present to the moment.

This phrase being present to the moment is a self-esteem phrase coined by a former mentor called Bill McGrain who is deceased. This message brings into focus the things God has given us to do in our short time called today. We are given new appetites and we lose the desire for the old sinful things of the world that once consumed us. The first thing that you need to do on the road to recovery is to change your focus from what has happened to you and turn your focus to what Christ has done for you. He was wounded for your healing. Yet many are stuck in the mud of despair and hopelessness, thinking and rethinking in shame and guilt over the things that have happened to them in their past as if they were the cause of it. I came to tell you today that you are not the shameful things that happened to you. Neither are you the evil things that you yourself have done. You are not the wicked thing that the enemy has fostered upon you. Christ came to set the captives free from shame and guilt.

And Jesus Christ said in Luke 4:18, "He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. Therefore, Christ wants to re-arm the people on earth with new brain cells by shifting their focus away from their past to what He has done for them and what He is about to do. Walk into your new life, my friend, which God will continue to renew daily. Begin living your life one day at a time. This puts yesterday's pain on the back burner, yesterday's hurts on the back burner. And someone coined the phrase, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." And it really is. And the mercies of God are renewed every day, especially for you. And this is why scripture tells us to study to show yourself approved unto God. Because by studying the Word of God, your brain matter is reshaped. Those pains, they subside. Those wounds are healed. And the blessings of the Almighty God shower upon you in a daily fashion. Glory to God.

This is a daily study and a lifestyle change and the dawn of a gloriously awesome new day for you and is a fresh new awesome start for your life. God bless and keep you in Jesus mighty name as He transform you through His precious, holy, and wonderful Word.

Welcome friend to the body of believers in Christ. There are so many of us here awaiting the return of the Good Master. Begin reading the Word of God every day. It is your daily food. Without it, you will grow weak and fall back into the trap of Satan. Reading audibly from the book of John first, then go to Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

Pray daily. Attend at your local church, and one glad morning the Savior will come and receive us all unto Himself. And we shall indeed forever be with the Lord. God bless and keep you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
