ocean waves under cloudy sky during daytime

TSUNAMIS

Tsunami's are walls of water that rise up in the sea or in a large body of water. They then rush to the shore in a series of waves. Water is first displaced by events such as underwater volcanic eruptions, underwater explosions, landslides, meteorite landings and most commonly; earthquakes at underwater fault lines.

Such events can cause water to be pulled away from the shore and it comes back as massive tidal waves rushing to the shore, pushing water into the land. After destroying everything in its path, the water then reverses and pulls everything back out to the sea.

To survive this dangerous situation it is important to be alert and understand what you feel, see and hear.
