There are three great books. Two written by God Himself and one inspired by Him. That's our message.

Books, books, and more books. Mankind has been fascinated by them for almost 600 years, prior to which, there were only a few handwritten papyrus scrolls. And did you know that reading is a good healthy exercise with many rich benefits for the soul? It is great for mental stimulation, for stress reduction, for acquiring knowledge of course, vocabulary development, even memory improvement and analytical skills development, among many other benefits. Now today we have millions and millions of books and many of them even pose a danger to our soul salvation, because of false teachings and outright lies that are in them. The most beneficial book for your health of course is the Holy Bible, because it is the only book on earth that is alive and is powerful! This message will discuss these three amazing and powerful books designed and authored by God for His people.

The first book is on earth, and of course it is the book for the ages, the all-time best seller in the entire world that has sold anywhere from 5 to 7 billion copies. No other book has come close. This book is of course the Holy Bible, containing God's holy word to His children, instructing us how to live. The second book is in heaven and could only be opened and read by the Lamb of God. The Apostle John saw Him open this book in a vision, breaking the seven seals one by one. And he wrote to us about the things that happened when each seal was broken by the Lamb of God. And the apostle was blown away by the events that began unfolding like a drama packed film, showing the systematic destruction of the earth as we know it today. He was witnessing the wrath of God being poured out on the earth because of the sin of the world. The third book is called the Lamb's book of life and is also in heaven. It is the only one of its kind among many books that will not be opened until the day of judgment. We will deal with this book in a special message called, 'What is the Lamb's book of life, is your name written there?'

Father we thank you for your love and mercy and for this message today, that it may go far and wide. Anoint it Father we pray in Jesus' name. And we pray that someone will commit their life to the Lord at the altar call at the end of this message. We thank you and praise you in Jesus' name Amen.

Books, books and more books. Millions have been written about everything under the sun since the history of time. In fact, anywhere from 129 million to 158 million books have been published since the creation of the printing press in 1440. And this number only represents 3% of the books people intended to write, because the experts say that 97% of the books that are started are never completed. And the book of Ecclesiastes warns against writing many books saying "And further my son be admonished by these of making many books there is no end and much study is wearisome to the flesh." The Amplified Version of the Bible translates a part of this word by saying "Do not believe everything you read and too much devotion to study and reading books aside from God's Holy Word will wear out the body." The implication here is perhaps that we should not be spending all of our efforts in vain writing and study of other books, while neglecting God's holy book, our relationship with Him, and the works of the kingdom that He's left for us to do.

Everyone wants to be a great writer and some have hit a home run by producing a bestseller with their very first book. But writers will tell you that writing a bestseller could be a daunting task. Many feel it is a good way to become very wealthy and very famous quickly. But this may be a misconception. At least one source says that in order to make $100,000 dollars a year as an author, one needs to publish around 33 books, suggesting that this can be done by writing one book per month for the next three years.

Then when considering the likelihood of you writing a bestseller, Olivia Black says you have a better chance of winning the lotto for which the odds are 1 in 300 million or of being struck by lightning twice, for which the odds are 1 in nine million, than writing a bestselling book. She claims that only 0.08% of the books published in the US annually make the US best sellers list. Open AI says approximately 3 million book titles are published in the US every year and therefore the odds may even be greater.

But let's talk about the book that we are most familiar with. The book which has the greatest benefits for us. Yes let's talk about the Holy Bible. It is actually a collection of many books. Jesus Christ describes Himself in Hebrews 10:7-9 of that holy book by saying, "Behold I have come in the volume of the book. It is written of Me to do your will oh God." This is an unusual statement, What does it mean? This reference to Him coming in the volume of the book, refers to the undeniable truth of the Holy Bible and the fact that Christ came to fulfill all the words written in that book. In other, words the Bible is about Him and the Old Testament or the book of the law prophesies about His coming as the Messiah.

Before saying this He had said "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings and offerings for sin You did not desire nor had pleasure in them, which are offered according to the law." And then He said, "Behold I have come to do your will," speaking to His Father, Hebrews 10:7-9. He is saying that in times past sacrifices and offerings were the ways of atoning for sin, but the Israelites abused them using them as a license to sin even more and became a stench in God's nostril. But now, He Himself had become the sacrifice and the offering for our sin. He is the Holy Lamb slain to redeem us from the power of sin.

In addition He says, "Those things previously written in this book of the law, in future times will not be written in one that can be read any longer, but will be written into our hearts." In that season it appears that there will be no need for the Holy Bible. God's word will be written on our very hearts and the millions of other books that now fill the world will become useless. There will be no more false teachings! Praise the Lord!

Now what about the second book I mentioned. The intriguing thing about this book, is that no one on earth has ever seen it except the Apostle John. It was not like the books we have available to us today, but it was like a rolled up scroll perhaps made of papyrus. According to Revelation 5 John said a door was opened in heaven and he heard a voice that sounded like a trumpet inviting him to come up, so he could be shown the things that are going to come upon the earth in the latter years. He said immediately he was in the spirit, and he saw a throne in heaven with someone sitting upon it. He described an awesome sight and said, "There were four beasts and also 24 elders dressed in white and wearing crowns and worshiping the One on the throne who lives forever and ever." In the right hand of the One who sat on the throne, he said there was a scroll written inside and on the back, closed and sealed with seven seals. He said there was no one found in heaven, in the earth nor under the earth who was able to open that book, or to look inside of it. Perhaps the apostle sensed the ominous contents of that book. For he wrote to us saying that he wept and wept because no one was found worthy to open the book and to read it and to look into it to see what was written on the inside. He described the book as being held in the right hand of the father as He sat on His throne, and the scroll was completely covered in writings. One of the elders comforted Him and told Him that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the root of David had prevailed and was worthy to open the book, and to loose the seven seals that bound up these writings.

And then a most glorious scene unfolded in heaven. John said when he looked, he saw in the middle of the throne, in the very center of the four beasts and the 24 elders, there was a Lamb that looked like it had been slain. He said the Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes representing the seven spirits of God, which were sent into the earth. And they all bowed down and worshiped the Lamb after He took the book from the hand of the Father. He said they all had harps and sung a new song while holding in their hands golden vials full of the incense of the prayers of the saints of God. And they thanked the Lamb of God for redeeming people from every kindred, tongue, people and nation unto God by the shedding of His blood. They said "You have made us kings and priests to our God, and we shall reign on the earth."

What a glorious hope that is. Then in what appears to be an awesome combined celestial and global praise and worship session, thousands upon thousands of angels appeared around the throne and their voices were heard along with the voices of the beast and the elders saying "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing." And John said "Every creature which is in heaven, on the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them I heard saying, blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever." And the four beasts said "Amen." And the 24 elders fell down and worshiped Him that lives forever and ever.

And now the scene was set for the opening of this ominous book, which is like no book that has ever been opened in the history of heaven and earth. The events that will take place at the breaking of these seven seals will change the earth and the people living in it forever and ever. These events that unfolded signified the terrible time of God's judgment and the approaching catastrophic times that are called end times.

In our next message called the drama of the seven seals and God's judgment on the earth. We will deal with the events that unfolded at the breaking of these seven seals one by one. God bless you in Jesus mighty name.
