In the Garden of Eden, there was a constant stream of water that went out from the garden and watered the earth. In the New Jerusalem, there will also be a spring, a constant stream of water that will go out.

Welcome to the channel of Jeshurun Ministry Bahamas. In fact, today our message, the waters of the river of life in the New Jerusalem. I'm happy that you've been able to join us. In a manner of speaking, the Holy Bible begins with an almost perfect garden and ends with the absolutely perfect city. A common thread, a common stream connecting these two habitats are a pure source of fresh water flowing from a central source. And therefore, the ending of God's Holy Word, which He sent out to us, brings us to the place of a return to the ideal conditions of the near-perfect Garden of Eden, except that the new Jerusalem will be far more spectacular and will be perfect. There are many similarities and many differences between the two, but it is definitely worthwhile noting one of them found in Revelation 21 and 27, which says, "But there shall by no means enter anything that defiles or causes an abomination or a lie. But only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life." Therefore, friend, no evil, no sin can ever enter the holy city the way the serpent was allowed to enter the Garden of Eden. Furthermore, at this time, Satan, who is the serpent, would have been locked away for all eternity in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, where he and all other wicked people of the world will be tormented day and night.

The source of the water in the case of the first garden was a river that flowed from Eden and went out to water the garden of Eden. And from there it divided into four riverheads, Pishon, Gihon, Tigris and Euphrates, and then went out to water the other regions of the world, according to Genesis 2 and 10. The Tigris and Euphrates River still exist today, flowing through Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, and emptying into the Persian Gulf. But the locations of the Pishon and Gihon rivers are not known today. And the Euphrates river, which today sits at its lowest level ever, has a prominent place in end time prophecies. And the Word of God says that it will dry up and provide an avenue for the kings of the east to cross over for the great battle of Armageddon.

According to Revelation 22, John said that he was shown a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the Throne of God and of the Lamb. Now this pure river flowed down the middle of the great street of the city of the new Jerusalem that came down from heaven. And then on either side of the river was the tree of life, which bear 12 kinds of fruits and yielded her fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Glory to God. We need healing in the earth today.

The tree of life that was in the Garden of Eden was Adam and Eve's golden opportunity to take a hold of everlasting life. But they missed it by choosing instead to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And after this colossal failure on their part, the Lord hid the tree of life from them and placed angels with a flaming sword at the entrance of the garden to prevent them from ever accessing the tree.

How many golden opportunities have you missed because of disobedience to God? I can tell you that I've missed quite a number of them. But thank God for the Holy Spirit who guides me and helps me so that I make fewer and fewer mistakes. And so will you. Today 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans consisting of salt water and only 2.5% or 3.5 actually is fresh water. Much of which is not even accessible because it's locked up in the glaciers. Canada, for instance, has the largest number of lakes in the world. Then there's Brazil with the largest percentage of renewable freshwater supplies anywhere in the world. But there are so many nations who struggle to find fresh water today.

But what does the biblical symbol of water mean? Well, water represents the Holy Spirit. Physical water refreshes, cleanses, and replenishes the human body, thereby reviving us. We need water to satisfy our thirsts and we cannot live without it. On the other hand, the Holy Spirit, the spiritual water satisfies the thirst and the longings of the heart and we cannot live holy without Him. He refreshes, He revives, He replenishes, renews, strengthens and comforts the spiritual being and the physical being benefits as well. Jesus calls the Holy Spirit Living Water. You might say He's the Water of Life. And just as water is poured out, the Holy Spirit is poured out upon us who believe. Christ invites all who believe and all who are thirsty to come to Him for a drink of this water, who is the Spirit of The Living God. And He promises that the one that believes in Him in accordance with scripture, out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Water. And this water shall emanate from the being of the believer and impact the life of any who believe the Word of God.

But can you imagine how it would would be without the oceans? Yes, friend, the oceans will disappear. According to Revelation 21 and1, John said, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea." There are many who do not believe this will happen. However, for a reference, I suggest that those who may be uncertain take a look at Revelation 8:8, which prepares us for this event. For in that text, we are told, "Then the second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And when this happened, a third of all the living creatures in the waters of the ocean died."

Well, scientists say that the Earth would become a scorched, uninhabitable desert devoid of life as we know it without the oceans. They say the oceans are critical for regulating the climate in countries all across the entire globe. Water evaporates from the oceans because of the heat from the sun. It then rises into the air as water vapor and becomes cloud formations during the process of condensation. After a while, these droplets become heavy enough to fall from the sky and water the earth in what we call rain. Presently, the oceans cover approximately 71% of the surface of the earth. This huge body of salt water is divided into five major regions. The Pacific, Atlantic, the Indian, the Arctic, and Southern oceans, covering a whopping 139 million square miles and representing 96.5% of all the water on the Earth.

And did you know that there's more life in the oceans than anywhere else on Earth? And scientists say that the majority of the ocean is still unexplored. Can it be possible that Jesus Christ will return to the earth and destroy the oceans even before we have completely explored all of it? The question is what will fill this void that will be left when the oceans disappear? Will the space be filled by freshwater lakes, rivers, streams, fountains? Well, you can surely believe that God has a plan. There are many who love the oceans and are called seafaring people because their lives depend upon the ocean for everything. Their customs are deeply connected to the sea in one way or another. And these will be very sad to see the oceans go.

There are also many who are terrified by the oceans and some consider it to be a symbol of chaos and evil and all things uncertain. Nevertheless, the days of this great big body of water are numbered. Well, friend, the Word of God tells us, "Whoever is born of God overcomes the world." So, we need not fear what is about to come. And this is the victory that has overcome the world. The text tells us our faith. And the Word of God goes on to say, who is he who overcomes the world? But he who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The book of Revelation is a bit frightening. But what is important for us is to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Then we'll have no need to fear anything.

Let us look deeper into the significance of all this talk of water in the holy scriptures and the benefits to the believer in Christ. Well, when Jesus Christ met the woman, the Samaritan woman at the well, He offered her something that she had never received before. In fact, it was something that she did not even know existed. Nor did she know that she was thirsty for this, which He called Living Water. He told her, "Whoever drinks of this water at Jacob's well will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him, He said, will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4 and 13. Of course, He was speaking of the Holy Spirit. There are many who have come to Christ, but they have yet to taste of that Living Water from the river of life, who is the Holy Spirit. Exercise your faith, friend, and you will receive the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

On another day, as Christ taught the people, the Pharisees and the chief priest sent officers to take Him. But the power of the Holy Ghost around Him made them powerless, and they could not. On the last day of that feast, Jesus Christ stood up and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water." John 7 and 37. He spoke concerning the spirit whom those believing in Him would receive but the time was not right because the Holy Spirit had not yet come. And the Word of God says for My people have committed two evils. They have forsaken Me the Fountain of Living Waters and dug for themselves wells, broken wells that cannot hold water. Jeremiah 2 and 13. And even the prophet Isaiah prophesied about these days of the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit as rivers of Living Water. He said, "Fear not, oh Jacob, my servant, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen, for I will pour water on him who is thirsty and floods on the dry ground. I will pour My spirit on your descendants and my blessings on your offsprings." Isaiah 44 and 3.

These days are continuing today. For any who believe, any who would be thirsty for the things of the spirit. At another time, the prophet cried out saying, "Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters, buy and eat. Yes, come buy wine and milk without money, without price. Why do you spend money for that which is not bread and your wages for what does not satisfy?" Isaiah 55 and 1. Yes, friend, we need that Living Water. We need the Holy Spirit. He will guide us and help us to navigate the difficult waters that are ahead for all who are on the earth. Clearly, these are the most challenging times the earth has ever seen. But the Holy Spirit will guide you. That Living Water, ask Him for it. Drink from that fountain. Be encouraged, my friend. God bless you in Jesus mighty name.

You've been listening to this message and perhaps you do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and you want to come to know Him as your personal savior. It is not difficult because He's done all the work for that. Please engage your heart, engage your faith, and say this prayer after me:

-Father, I am a sinner.

-I'm sorry for all my sins.

-I crave Your forgiveness, Father.

-Please forgive me.

-Thank You, Lord, for Your forgiveness.

-Today, I invite Jesus Christ into my heart.

-Dear Lord Jesus, make my heart Your home and give me the Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth.

-I give You my heart today and the key to my heart.

-I thank You for accepting me, for loving me, for dying for me.
