Here's how to save yourself from being deceived by the anti-Christ, by a cult leader or any other antichrist.

And did you know that the saints of God whose names are written in the Lamb Book of Life, some of them will be on the earth during the reign of the anti-Christ?Well, scripture tells us he will be given authority to make war with these children of God on the earth at that time and to overcome them, but they will not worship him according to Revelation 13:7 and 8. And so, if you are alive on the earth when the anti-Christ is revealed, is it possible that you will be deceived by him? There are certain types of personalities that are most likely to follow an antichrist or a deceiver or cultish leader. And we'll talk about those who fit the bill. And you may be surprised to know that not only low IQ and unlearned people are deceived and sucked in by anti-Christ's and cult leaders.

And did you know that the antichrist will use witchcraft? Yes. Whenever he comes, he will use witchcraft to control at least 75% of the entire world. And what is witchcraft? Witchcraft is simply mind control. It is the use of manipulation and intimidation in order to dominate people.

And the anti-Christ will do what cult leaders do, which is to intimidate, manipulate, and then dominate. The Apostle Paul told the Galatians, "Oh foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?" In other words, who messed up your mind to cause you to turn away from Christ?

And here's a question for you. Is it wrong to dominate people? Well, please know that it is not God's will that pastors, parents, teachers, employers, or governments should dominate people. For we are told in Ephesians 5:21, that we should submit ourselves one to another in the fear of the Lord. And those among us who are leaders are told to shepherd the flock of God which is among us, serving as overseers, not by compulsion or force, and not as being lords over those entrusted to us, but by being examples unto the flock according to 1 Peter 5 and 2.

Father, I give You thanks and praise for the blood of Jesus over the listeners to this message. Father, I pray that You would insulate their heart, their mind, their very spirit, body, soul against the doctrine of a cult leader, an anti-Christ figure. I pray that You would take the scale of their eyes and give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Thank You, Father, in Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Here's how cult leaders get started. According to the textbook of sociology, no one intentionally follows an anti-Christ, a deceiver, or joins a cult. What actually happens is that many who become entrapped by a cult leader or an anti-Christ figure begin by following a leader who shows promise or by joining a group that promises to help them fill a need like finding God, losing weight perhaps saving the planet, achieving financial success or achieving some noble end.

But we must remain open eyed and grounded. Watch out for these four red flags. Number one, cultish leaders attempt to isolate their followers in order to keep them under their thumb. And if you find yourself unable to explain the logic of the leader or group to an outsider without being defensive or embarrassed, this is a red flag.

Number two, look out for love bombing, which is excessive love showered upon you in the early stages of your relationship with someone, with a group. New members or recruits are overwhelmed with affection, praise, and sense of instant belonging. Beware of this. It is pre-planned. Authentic trust and belonging takes months and years to develop, not days. And if your involvement feels like it's moving too fast, this is a red flag. After showing them a huge amount of love, the leader then systematically begins dismantling the independent decision-making power of the individual.

Organized cults always have propaganda material. This is a key part of their operation. The Bible is not the most important material for them. They use books, magazines, videos, websites, and social media to recruit new members to maintain control of them. The JWs have the Watchtower. The Mormons have the Book of Mormon. And the Muslims have the Quran. We only need the Holy Bible. So propaganda material is a red flag. And over time, the person's brain begins restructuring itself and even their personality is often transformed.

Make sure you have an exit plan. Leave an exit door open. High control leaders and groups make it physically, financially, or emotionally difficult for you to leave their circle. When you get in, make sure you have a plan of how you are going to get out safely. If you're required to cut ties with family members or close friends or hand over anything that is important to you, this is a fatal red flag.

And no one will be able to make war against the anti-Christ. According to Revelation 13, the anti-Christ, who is called the beast, is empowered by Satan in this way. Here's verse 2B. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed.

In verse three, it tells us, "And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies. And he was given authority to continue for 42 months.

It reminds us of someone on the world scene right now. Considering that we have 8.3 billion people living on earth today and only 2.2 billion of them declare themselves as Christians. This means that at least 75% of the world population will worship this beast called the anti-Christ. But this is not even the total amount who will bow down to him.

There are several living world leaders who may be considered possible candidates for the post and office of the anti-Christ. I'll just name two of them. Russia's president and the US president. The leading candidate may be the present president of the US. He's a textbook cult leader who displays much of the persuasive powers of lies and deception of a cult leader and is having a great impact on the whole world at present. And we'll make references to him in this section.

Let us dissect the mystique of a cult leader or an anti-Christ figure. An anti-Christ figure will use powerful deception that will cause even dedicated Christians to follow him uncompromisingly. For instance, as many as 88% of white evangelical Christians in America voted for this president in the recent election and considered him to be the real deal.

A cult leader will display great confidence when he speaks. In a world that is so full of anxiety and chaos today, many people are really concerned about their finances, about their cultural value and feel hopelessness in their system. To the rescue comes a strong man like this president.

He is someone who excels at simplifying the world into winners and losers. He is one who does not focus on policy but on impact leadership or high powered leadership. And those who love following him are not concerned about what is actually in the bills made up by the country's lawmakers, but they are drawn to the energy of a leader who says, "I'm the only one in the world who can fix it, and they trust him wholeheartedly."

Outsiders see through the veneer of a cult leader, but insiders are blinded. They read him like a book, these outsiders do, and they cringe at his rude, abrasive, and politically incorrect attitude. But his followers are all in. And when he's attacked, the followers feel they're being attacked. When he wins, they feel as if they have won. He has framed his legal battles and various controversies not as a personal failing, which they really are, but as sacrifices that he's making for his people. In this case, sacrifice he's making for the movement and even for the world.

An anti-Christ often acts like a protector of his followers, telling them things like, "They are after you, but I'm in the way." And they have a problem. His followers see him as the enforcer. They see him as law and order. And they truly see him as the force who will make things right in society and even the world. Christians who follow an anti-Christ have used biblical thinking and some have even dared to use scriptural text to deal with the controversies of the anti-Christ and his behavior. They will believe that he is a chosen one by God for this specific season.

And the mystique of the leader is maintained by constant engagement. For instance, this president uses social media posts as he rants and raves on social media late at night and in the early hours of the morning. His followers hang on his every word. They excuse the lies, the rudeness and the inconsistencies, excusing the wickedness and the evil. They feel they are apart of a powerful support system and that it is all that matters to them and no one can touch them.

What about the personality of a cult leader? Well, the cult leader is hardly ever a magician, but rather an individual who has what they call narcissistic charisma. The cult leader usually exudes likability in such an intense way that his persona fills the entire room. Cult leaders often speak with amazing confidence. Everything he does is greater and better than anybody else who's ever done anything.

And whether he's speaking truth or lying, he appeals to those who have had past failures or even brokenness and are looking for someone that seemed to be superhuman. When this needy idealistic personality meets this leader who speaks with 100% confidence and has this magnetic personality, it is the perfect storm and they buy into whatever the cult leader is selling. Lock, stock, and barrel.

Now the personality make up of people who get sucked in by a deceiver and the reason why they stay. Let's discuss this. Those looking for a perfect world. Well, studies have proven that it is very rare that a crazy person joins a cult. More often, people who follow cults are people who are looking for a perfect world. They're looking for purpose and for the perfect world. And when they meet a leader who speaks with 100% certainty, they find their persona very magnetic and they are irresistibly drawn to it.

The highly intelligent ones. Studies say that it is often thought that cult followers are weak-minded or uneducated. Well, men it is actually quite the opposite. They are usually highly intelligent and empathetic. However, they're usually very idealistic and they are really not looking for a cult, but they're looking for the opportunity to be a part of a closely knit community, something great.

Now, prideful people who hate to admit that they're wrong refuse to leave the cult. Once they buy into the leader deception, it will be difficult for them to pull away. What traps them is that after investing time, money, energy, into a group, an organization or church, they will find it painful to admit that they were wrong. And so they dig in instead of breaking away.

What are some of the ways that the end comes to an anti-Christ figure? Well, the most recent example we have of an anti-Christ is Joshua Mhlakela, the South African preacher who said that he saw Jesus Christ and claimed in a viral 2025 prophecy that the rapture would occur on September 23rd or 24th. He had said that he was a billion% sure Christ had spoken and that there would be no other prophecy beside his. But after his second prophecy also failed in October, he disappeared from view. He's not been seen or heard from in the public arena since October 2025.

There are many other ways that the reign of cult leaders or false prophets have ended. Some not so pretty. It may be a violent confrontation or standoff with authorities like the 1993, 51-day Waco, Texas siege in which the leader was killed. Or it may be like the Jonestown massacre of 1978 in which followers were convinced that the end of the world was imminent and were persuaded to transition together. Yes, die together. Some like Charles Manson spend years in prison. There are some who simply have health failure and then there are others who simply fade away.

However, the end of the anti-Christ and the false prophet will be much more tragic. They will gather their armies together to make war against the One who will sit on the white horse and against His army. And this is none other than Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And they will both be captured and cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone, where they will be tormented day and night forever and ever is what the Word of God tells us. God bless and keep you.

Father I pray the blood of Jesus over the listeners to this message. Oh God, do not allow them to be swayed, deceived by a cult leader, by an anti-Christ figure. Father, I pray in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. Oh God, open their eyes wide. Take the scale off their eyes that they may be able to see clearly. Father, we pray in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Now friend, perhaps you listening to this message are not sure about the state of your soul. We want to give you an opportunity as usual to commit your life to the Lord. Please engage your heart and say this prayer after me:

  • Father, I am a sinner.

  • I am sorry for all my sins.

  • Dear Lord I crave Your forgiveness.

  • Thank You Lord for Your forgiveness.

  • Today I have decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

  • Dear Lord Jesus, I give You the key to my heart because I now belong to You forever.

  • Please keep the key.

  • Even If I as You for it, You have my permission never to return it to me.

  • I want to be locked up in You.

  • Please give me the Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth.

  • Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul. Amen.

Welcome, friend, to the body of believers in Christ. There are so many of us here gathered, waiting, trusting, believing, and waiting for that great gathering that will occur in the sky when Jesus Christ comes to claim us. In the meantime, we want to encourage you to let your pastor know that you've committed your life to the Lord and you want to be baptized the way Jesus was baptized by immersion.

Secondly, but rather first, begin reading the Word of God every day. Begin in the book of John, then go to Matthew, Mark, and Luke, reading audibly as often as possible because faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Pray daily. Attend at your local church. And one glad morning, the Savior will come and receive us all unto Himself. And we shall indeed forever be with the Lord. God bless and keep you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
