HAIL STORM

Hail or hail stones are solid lumps of ice that can develop in most thunderstorms although they generally fall in cold weather. Formation requires environments of strong, upward motion of air within the parent thunderstorm and lowered heights of the freezing level, according to Wikipedia.

Thankfully deaths are rarely reported from these storms although injury and death is possible. These storms are more known to cause damages to cars, property and farms.
