God made mathematics, but is not limited by any number system!
Pastor Hepburn's message is very encouraging to those who are so often caught up in the weight of their problems, needs and issues that they fail to grasp the size of our great God! While we are limited by things like quantity, size, weight, height, depth, and distance, God is not!

Our amazing God made mathematics, but He's not governed by any numerical system. Amazing.
Welcome to the Jeshurun Ministry GB channel in the Bahamas.
This message is about the awesomeness of our great and wonderful God. It will demonstrate that He made mathematics and arithmetic for us but not for Himself. Our amazing God is not limited by numerics in the ways that we are limited. In fact, this message will show you that practically everything that God does defies a numerical system. As He shoots out of the gate, His defiance of His own numerical system is clear from the very outset. For He has no beginning and He has no end. Therefore, when you come to God, do not be intimidated by the size of your need, nor should you take pride in the quantity of your material possessions.
Mathematics is considered a science and is said to be the language of science and the science of structure. In this message, I will show you that we are governed by this system called mathematics and most times cannot circumvent it except when we include the living God in the formula. When we're dealing with God, we discover that He cannot fit in a narrow mathematical system or any other narrow earthly system. Glory to God. In amazing ways, He operates inside as well as outside the system of mathematics. Let us pray.
Father, I thank You for this awesome day that You've given us. I thank You for Jesus Christ and the many blessings that You've given us. Jesus Christ who died for us to set us free from the bondage of sin. Bless the listener to this message with powerful, faith. I thank You, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
My friend, please assist us in sending God's word out by pressing the subscribe and the like buttons on this message. And do please send it out to as many of your contacts as possible. May the Lord bless you forever.
Many of the experts and historians not wanting to give God the honor and glory due to the Father for creating the amazing world of mathematics, say that it was not created by God but by several men. They say it was created by humans but not by one human at a single time. In this way they say it evolved over thousands of years and many assert that an ancient Greek pioneer named Archimedes was the father of mathematics.
But John 1: 1-3 contradicts the experts for it says in the beginning was the Word who is Jesus Christ and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made. This is indisputable proof friend that no human made mathematics. It is a gift given to us by God. And the Word of God also says all good things come down from the Father of Lights who is in heaven, who never changes. And since mathematics is a good thing, it comes from the everlasting God.
Mathematics and all the sciences were created by God to govern the earth and to supply the needs of His creatures. At the very outset, mankind knew very little about it. But as time passed, the Lord opened the hearts and the minds of wise men in various countries and revealed the true genius of His mathematical system. Mathematics cannot evolve. Its theories and principles simply exist and we discover more and more about them every day. What does evolve is our understanding about the genius of this science. The same mathematical formula function identically in every nation and mathematicians prove them and agree on them in the same way everywhere in the world. And every day the geniuses are discovering new ways to apply this system created by the Father for use in every facet of life. And the more man understands math, the more he can do. No one is able to control it or make it work only for them, although many use it to deceive others.
Here's how the history books say it developed. More than 2,000 years ago, the Babylonians and the Sumerians developed a base 60 system for trade, astronomy, and measurement, etc. This included multiplication, division and other equations. And then along came the Egyptians in 1650 B.C.E. And they began using geometry and arithmetic for construction and taxes. A thousand years later, India and China added to the development introducing the modern decimal system and the concept of zero. They were also responsible for advancements in algebra and other equations. Great mathematicians have come from all over the world.
Now, here's evidence that God is not subject to mathematics. He fed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish. This is mathematically impossible for humans, but not for God. Then He repeated this feat in similar fashion by feeding 4,000 with seven loaves and a few small fish on another day. Afterwards, they collected seven baskets of broken pieces as leftovers.
Did you know that one day the Father caused the day to go beyond 24 hours? This is no small feat because the earth rotates on its axis approximately once every 24 hours. But on that day, the Lord paused the earth's rotation in order to give Joshua's army time to win the battle. Here's how it unfolded. In the days that Joshua led the people to possess the promised land, five kings of the Amorites came up against the Gibeonites. And these kings were head of five cities in Canaan and had launched an attack on their neighbors, the Gibeonites, because they made a covenant to become Israel's servants for safety and protection. Here's what the Lord told Joshua. Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand. Not a man of them shall stand before you." And Joshua came upon them suddenly after marching his troops for an entire night. And the Lord routed and slaughtered them. And then He chased them. And as they fled, the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven upon them. And more of them died by hailstone than by sword. As the battle raged for an entire day, Joshua spoke to the Lord and said in the sight of Israel, "Sun, stand still over Gibeon." And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped until the people had revenge upon their enemies.
There has never been a day like this in which there were 36 to 48 hours in a single day. Look at Joshua 10:7-13. Our phenomenal God will fight our battle for us. Why do we worry? He will even cause time to stand still for us if necessary. Why worry when God is on your side, friend?
On another day, according to Joshua 23:9 and 10, the Lord told the children of Israel, "For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations. But as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day. One man of you shall chase a thousand men, for the Lord your God is He who fights for you as He promised you." Can you imagine one man chasing a thousand men? Then in Leviticus 26 and 8, the Lord said to them, "Five of you shall chase a hundred and a hundred of you shall put 10,000 to flight." These declarations by the Lord God defy mathematical boundaries and limits and demonstrate that with God on our side, we have a majority no matter the number of those who've come against us. And when you face challenges, friend, look not at the size of the problem, but consider the size of your God and the fact that He is limited by nothing. No number is too small for God to give you a victory.
Here is another astonishing piece of evidence that God does not play by the rules of mathematics. According to Judges 7, Gideon, the commander of Israel's army in the days of the judges, went to war along with 32,000 troops. And the Lord told him he had too many. Said he had too many soldiers for Him to give him the victory. What was He saying? I know about having too little, but not about having too much. We say the more the merrier. This is incredible. Every general will tell you that the armies on earth rely on the strength of numbers for winning battles. God told Gideon to send back all who were afraid. And 22,000 soldiers returned to their camp. This left only 10,000 to fight. And again the Lord said there were too many. This time He told Gideon to send them down to the brook to drink and observe how they drank water. Separate those who lapped water from their hands with their tongue like dogs. Only 300 soldiers qualified for this. The others kneel down to drink. He then sent Gideon out with the 300 soldiers and gave them a resounding victory. Awesome God.
Tithing is also a miracle that defies mathematics. The Holy Word of God tells us that one tenth or 10% of all that we earn belongs to the Lord and we are free to do whatever we wish with the 90% that is left. When we faithfully give God His portion, He then multiplies the 90% that is left, making it work better than the full amount of your earnings. From there on, the financial blessings do not stop. They will continue to flow and flow into your life. Tithing in which less brings you more defies every basic accounting principle. The more faithfully you give to God, the more you end up receiving because you cannot outgive God. Give to the Lord, my friend. Do not be afraid.
Christians are called to be monotheistic, which means simply that we are supposed to worship only one God. However, this one God consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These are three separate entities. Yet they are only one. If this puzzles you, consider the fact that souls are being received into the kingdom of God every day. And presently there are millions upon millions who've been received into the kingdom of God as born again believers in Christ. And they are called one body or the body of Christ. These are all scattered all over the globe now. But when Christ comes to receive His faithful believers from every country under the sun, they will all be one. These millions and millions will be one just as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are only One.
In another story that we reviewed recently, Jesus Christ came to the town of Samaria and sat at Jacob's well while His apostles went to town for food. He began a conversation with a woman who had had five husbands and was at that time living with a six man who was not her husband. He ministered to her and she was so filled with joy that she went out and evangelized the entire town bringing them all to the well to meet Jesus Christ. Friend, this means that one individual who hears the Word of God, believes it, and runs with it can save a whole town for the Lord Jesus Christ. In that way, one will chase 10,000.
The Lord also defies other interesting things with numbers. For instance, fear not or do not be afraid is mentioned 365 times in the Bible. One for each day of the year. Seven is the biblical number for perfection, completion, and divine rest. Moses had 70 elders, and Jesus Christ also selected 70 elders. The Father worked six days and rested on the seventh, and there are seven days in a week. The book of Revelation begins with seven letters to the seven churches. Then there are seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowl judgments, during the tribulation which lasts for seven years. The number seven is used more than 700 times in the Word of God.
There was also a severe famine in the days of Elijah and the Lord sent him to a poor widow in a town called Zarephath. He told Elijah He had commanded the widow to provide for him. So Elijah went in obedience. When he got there, he asked the widow to bring him a little water and a morsel of bread in her hand. And the widow said she had only a handful of flour and a little oil left. This, she said, was only enough for a final meal for she and her son, after which they would lay down and die. Elijah told her not to fear. Go and do as she had planned, but first make a small cake from it for him and bring it to him. Then afterward make some for yourself and your son. Then Elijah told her that the Lord God of Israel said that the bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth. First Kings 17 and 8. She went away and did as he instructed her. And according to the Word of the Lord, the flour was never used up. The jar of oil never ran dry, and it fed she and her entire household and Elijah for many days. Because God has promised He shall supply all our needs through His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. In every famine, in every hurricane, in every loss of job, in every sickness, every economic downturn, He will do it no matter what happens. He will take care of you. I've seen it happen over and over again. Our God is a faithful God. He will not leave us. He will not forsake us. And He will provide for us.
Trust Him, my friend, and you will not be sorry. God bless you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
You've been listening to this message and perhaps you do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Well, friend, we want to give you an opportunity to make that commitment today. Please engage your heart and say this prayer after me.
As you say this prayer, God is asking you not just to be sorry for your sins, but to turn away from them. And then He will empower you to be able to stay away from them. Trust Him. Say after me:
Father, I am a sinner.
I am very sorry for my sins.
I am so sorry that I want to change my life.
I want to turn away from sin.
Please help me.
I crave Your forgiveness.
Today I invite Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord Jesus, welcome to my heart.
Today I give You the key to my heart because I now belong to You forever.
Please keep the key and please give me the Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth.
Thank You Lord for saving my soul. Amen.
Welcome friend to the body of believers in Christ. Many of us here are waiting to be gathered on that glorious and wonderful morning. In the meantime, we want to encourage you to begin reading the Word of God.
Begin in the book of John and then go to Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Please let your pastor know that you've committed your life to the Lord and you want to be baptized the way Jesus Christ was baptized.
Pray daily. Attend at your local church and one glad morning the Savior will come and receive us all unto Himself. And we shall indeed forever be with the Lord. God bless and keep you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
