"Are Today's Generations Seeking And Getting More Godly Wisdom?"
The Holy Scriptures tell us, wisdom is the main thing, therefore, we all should go after it! Pastor Hepburn's message laments the fact that there are intentional forces preventing our youths from getting Godly wisdom today!

Hello friend, welcome to the weekly broadcast of Jeshurun Ministries program, Preach the Gospel. Trouble is coming to the earth. It is the program designed to give you effective solutions for handling the problems in your life.
In our last message, we were talking about the wisdom of Solomon. And today, we are speaking about the wisdom or the lack thereof in today's generations. And the question is, are today's generations seeking and getting more Godly wisdom?
Of course, the short answer is a resounding no. Today's generations are not abounding in Godly wisdom. And neither did the holy scriptures prophesy that this generation would be the wisest generation that ever lived. In fact, the Word of God has warned us that in these last days, perilous times will come. And this means that these last days will be extremely dangerous.
And second Timothy warned us that the people of this age would be very selfish. They would be proud. They would be boasters. They would lack compassion. Their hearts will not genuinely be turned toward God. And they would have their own kind of fake Godliness. In fact, they will also be unyielding. And you're seeing that in the conflicts that are in the world today. Nobody wants to give over to the other side. Everyone is determined to win. And of course, this is impossible. This can never happen. Praise the name of the Lord. Someone will have to lose and someone will have to win or we will have a win-win situation. But no one wants even a win-win situation. And this is the season when real love is hard to find. And for the most part, people of this age will have no self-control. I'm not making this stuff up. It's coming directly out of God's Word, out of His mouth as communicated through His faithful servant, the Apostle Paul.
Now, here's one reason why this will be a failed generation. Let's talk about one video game called Grand Theft Auto, which has sold half a billion units and has made 10 billion dollars for its owners. It is the number two game in the world today. The game is about high-speed chases, shooting, and completing carjacking of all things. It is about gang warfare and other criminal activities. It is the second most popular video game on earth.
In our most recent message, we've been speaking about wisdom and it is something everyone should be interested in having. Wisdom is something that many think that they have, but sadly they do not have the Godly kind of wisdom. They run off without examining what they have, whether they have the wisdom of the world or Godly wisdom. And if you only want material wealth, power, fame, and worldly knowledge, well friend, you will only need to gather the wisdom of the world. But if you want the things of God, if you want to be pleasing to the Father, you merely need to ask Him, and He will give you Godly wisdom.
What the young people of these fastmoving times are hungering for is absolutely and completely the opposite of Godly wisdom. But it is not entirely their fault. For years, we have allowed the social media giants to corrupt the little hearts and minds of our children. We've unknowingly and in some cases knowingly thrown them to the wolves.
In these last days, the wisdom of the world has also captivated parents, children, teachers, political leaders, and even church leaders. And we will all have to answer to God if we are compromised. We must bear some of the blame for allowing our children to be caught up in this deadly cell phone trap designed by Satan. And did you know that your cell phone has intentional defective product design? Yes, intentional.
Your cell phone is intentionally harming you according to claims made by parents, teachers, and others in lawsuits filed against media giants recently. Were you aware that there's an absolute landslide of litigation filed against social media companies even as we speak? Meta, Tik Tok, Alphabet, YouTube, Byte Dance, Facebook, Instagram, and Snap are presently facing a massive wave of thousands of coordinated lawsuits in both federal and state courts across the United States and in many other nations as well. And it is growing in size every day.
The claims accuse them of product liability and negligence. Parents, teachers, and school officials are saying that the media companies intentionally engineered addictive algorithms and features like infinite scroll notifications also and predatory recommendations that harm developing adolescent brains.
That's a mouthful. The lawsuits say that these unconscionable strategies for manipulating children so that they can make themselves rich were designed by media moguls intentionally. This unbridled greed of the owners of the various social media corporations and their affiliates has caused far more harm than good.
According to claims filed against these hugely wealthy corporations, they say this drive to gain wealth has caused children to become depressed. It has influenced them to harm themselves and to be captivated by eating disorders and even suicide. The lawsuits mention the insulation of body altering filters and they say social media introduces minors to adult predators. Yes, while it is not at the forefront of these cases, adults are also being harmed by social media.
So what does God say about this? He says, "Woe to anyone who causes innocent children to sin." The Word of God sends out a strong warning to these media giants and to any who would poison and corrupt the minds of children. Here's what it says in Matthew 18 and 6. But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were drown in the depths of the sea. That is God's warning.
This scripture is a heavy stone. It's an indictment upon those who own these media companies. And what about those who work for them, knowingly helping them to corrupt the minds of our young children by seducing them with the ways of the world? They too will have to pay a price.
And then in verse 10, Jesus Christ says, "Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones," referring to children. For I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. Yes, the Father is watching over the little children. Thank God for Jesus Christ.
And this means the guardian angels assigned to these little ones have free access to the Father and will report those who abuse them to Him. People of the world do not take this warning from God seriously. But in the end, this Word may come back to bite you.
Here's the bombshell that has hit Meta and other social media giants.
Reports say that there are more than 3,000 to 4,000 active federal cases in Oakland, California, brought by families, individuals, and school districts.
Secondly, at the state level, there are another 3,300 cases being managed that were filed by individual families.
In addition, more than 1,200 US school districts have filed suits to recover financial resources spent tackling the youth mental crisis driven by social media addiction. The school districts are suing because counseling departments are swamped. They're overwhelmed by the number of emotionally sick children looking for help every day.
And dozens of US states have filed joint enforcement actions targeting the deceptive product practices of these social media giants.
Lawsuits against these media giants have not been limited to the US. Parents, schools, and various institutions outside the US have also sought legal redress against media giants.
For instance, Canadian school boards have filed lawsuits.
The European Commission has taken action.
There have been inquest in the UK and in developing nations, just to name a few.
Well, there are some historic victories against Meta and other media giants that developed recently.
In March of 2026, a Los Angeles jury awarded $6 million to a young woman in which Meta and Google were found liable for negligence in designing addictive features that caused severe psychological harm to her as a minor.
Secondly, the biggest one is that Meta has made a massive state settlement for $18 billion dollar with dozens of US states to resolve multi-state actions.
Thirdly, in New Mexico, multi-state settlement. A jury and judge ordered Meta to pay over 900 million, yes, almost a billion dollars in total penalties for hiding the risk to users of their products. A 90 hour monthly time limit was ordered for users under 18 and tight limits were put on AI chatbots and it works out to roughly 3 hours online per day. We hope that this will actually happen.
Product changes are coming within several months to a year from now. As a part of the settlement, the media companies have agreed to implement strict product changes like:
setting daily screen time limits for teenagers,
disabling push notification during school hours,
and having stronger age checks for teenagers.
But these restrictions won't be in place until several months from now. And some will take a year to be implemented. None of which is probably going to be sufficient because the horse has already gotten out of the gate.
Here's how they will work. When teenagers create their account, depending on their age, the app will enforce safety measures determining how long that teenager is able to actively use the app within a 24-hour window. By setting a two-hour daily screen time limit, access to major feed features, video shorts, reels, endless scroll stream will be locked for the rest of the day. Will this really happen? The children will revault.
Automated alerts and popup notifications will not be able to happen during school time. However, they will still be able to receive messages from close contacts as parents and guardians. Only time will tell how effective this new system will be when it is implemented. But children will find ways around these restrictions. In fact, AI will show them how to get around them. Their favorite bot will guide them on how to circumvent these restrictions. I assure you.
Now three reasons why these restrictions may be too late.
Number one, the lawsuits claim that the corruption has been happening for at least 10 to 15 years. But the historical data says it is more like 15 to 20 years.
This means practically an entire generation has already been corrupted because a generation is only 20 years.
And thirdly, there are more than two billion people between the ages of 5 to 20 on the earth presently.
And therefore, the generation that is now moving into adulthood will be and already is the most Godless generation the world has ever seen. And many are beginning to take their places at the table in their communities and on the world stage even as we speak.
Please pray that God will save a remnant. Every day, friend, I pray that God will preserve a remnant of Godly young people in every nation on earth. I encourage you to make that your daily prayer as well.
So lets talk a little bit more about Godly wisdom. It is easy to identify those who only have worldly wisdom. You will find that they are vain, selfish. They're proud, arrogant, and greedy for material things. This kind are disobedient to parents, the Word of God tells us, ungrateful and vindictive. Look around and you will see many who are vicious and uncontrollable. Then there are some who claim to be Christians, but their behavior does not line up with Godly wisdom. If the Holy Spirit is not in an individual's heart, there is no channel in him through which Godly wisdom can flow from above.
2 Timothy 3: 1-8 describes those among us who do not have Godly wisdom, saying that they will make up the majority. In fact, the time of this scripture has come, friend, which says, "But know this that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving." Yes, the time of this scripture has come.
But the key verse is verse seven which says they will be always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. The Word of God will not be able to bring change in their behavior in their lives because they will not believe what they study and what they read.
And then in James 3 we hear about Godly wisdom. James tells us, "The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy."
This wisdom, friend, comes from the Father and is morally and spiritually undefiled. The Word of God tell us. It is courteous. It is considerate. It is willing to listen. It produces good fruits into your life and very importantly it is not self-righteous and it is not self-serving.
And so back to second Timothy chapter 2 verse 20 which gives five points for becoming a wise servant of God.
Number one, be a vessel for honor friend sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
Secondly, flee also youthful lust, but pursue righteousness, pursue faith, pursue love and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Number three, avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
Number four, do not quarrel, but be gentle to all, able to teach and patient.
And number five, correcting those who are in opposition, asking God to grant them repentance so that they may know the truth, so that they may come to their senses and escape the snares of the devil, having been taken captive by God, to do God's will instead of allowing their hearts to be captivated by Satan to do his will.
And so friend, these five points explain Godly wisdom to us. May God give you an abundance of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. And may He bless you with tremendous blessings. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
You've been listening to the weekly broadcast of Jeshurun Ministry. As usual, we want to give you an opportunity to commit your life to the Lord. Please engage your heart and say this prayer after me:
Father, I am a sinner.
I am sorry for all my sins.
I crave Your forgiveness.
Please forgive me, Father.
Thank You, Father.
Today, I have decided to invite Jesus Christ to be the Lord of my life.
Dear Lord Jesus, welcome to my heart.
I give You the key to my heart because I now belong to You forever.
Please keep the key.
Please give me the Holy Spirit to teach me Your Word and to show me the path in which I should walk.
Thank You Lord for saving my soul. Amen.
Welcome, friend, to the body of believers in Christ. Many of us here are awaiting the return of the Good Master.
In the meantime, we want to encourage you to let your pastor know that you've committed your life to the Lord, and you want to be baptized the way Jesus Christ was baptized by immersion.
Begin reading the Word of God every day. It is your daily food. You will need it in order to stay firm and sure and in obedience to Christ.
Begin in the book of John. Then go to Matthew, Mark, and Luke, reading audibly as often as possible because faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Pray daily. Attend at your local church. And one glad morning the Savior will come and receive us all unto Himself. And we shall indeed forever be with the Lord. God bless and keep you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
